Intern misses work for a week because of a mean comment

That cannot be a valid or acceptable reason for missing a whole week of work?

Getting an internship isn't always an easy feat. So, when one does get the opportunity, it is only natural for them to make the most of it. 

Well, at least that's what we believe. But not everyone thinks the same and as much as we can appreciate that, sometimes it can be something of a negative. 

Especially when you work in a team dynamic. Working in a team means that you play a pivotal role in a group and when you fail to do your part, the team dynamic can essentially fail.
